The Stealth P-7R Adds A New Dimension to Trail Blazing

By | Stealth Dealers, Test Rides

Stealth P-7R, leaving others in our dust.

When Stealth Electric Bikes built the first Stealth B-52 Bomber way back in 2008, extreme sports aficionados lost their marbles over the arm stretching acceleration and eye popping top speeds that only the best downhill mountain bikers could reach, all in complete silence.

Earlier this month Stealth released their latest game changing electric mountain bike, appropriately named the Stealth P-7R. This latest electric cross country come trail bike promises to add a new dimension to the term “trail blazing” as it leaves its peers in a cloud of dust.

The latest “must have” for your toy collection has drawn its inspiration from the agile, road legal, Stealth P-7 but has been kitted out with a twist grip throttle and an all new drive train to take the fun factor up a level … or six.  Generating a 1500W boost of smooth, yet responsive power and the ability to reach speeds in excess of 45km/h, the new Stealth P-7R will give average riders super hero like powers for up to 150km.

Providing ground support for the P-7R’s performance power train, a fully adjustable suspension package offers 180mm (7”) of front travel backed up by 120mm (5”) of travel on the rear, all finely tune-able to suit any rider’s size or style. Reverse thrust is handled by powerful Magura MT5’s which provide precision performance and maximum safety.

When we asked Stealth’s technical guru Harry Powell what he liked most about the P-7R, he replied without any hesitation – “This beast climbs steep hills like they’re gentle slopes and when you feel like cruising, the rear suspension lockout combined with the freewheeling hub lets you pedal it just like a regular mountain bike.”

Other cool features found on the P-7R include 27.5” wheels, 9 speed gearing for maximised pedal efficiency, a concentric swingarm pivot designed to minimise pedal bob, integrated headlight, ruggedised kickstand and of course Stealth’s signature, lifetime frame warranty.

Whatever the time of day, whatever the season.  Check out the Stealth website for more information or book a test ride with your local Stealth Authorised dealer today.

Profile of Supercross Rider and Stealth Dealer – John Prutti

By | Stealth Dealers, Test Rides

John Prutti is Stealth Electric Bikes’ Authorised Dealer in the ACT region of Australia, he is know for his skills and prowess in the Motocross arena and coaching up and coming MX talent.

Last year John created an awesome video show casing the full range of Stealth bikes Capital Stealth offer. The catchy music and beautifully shot scenes caught our customer’s attention and they wanted to know more about the video and the man behind it all. We caught up with John and asked him a few questions.

When did you first ride a Stealth bike?

Back in 2014, the Stealth team were shooting “The Shape of Things to Come” video starring my good mate Caroline Buchanan. I had ridden Caroline’s B-52 a few times and Stealth had seen some of the footage of my skills so they invited me along to star as one of the stunt riders.   Before I knew it I’d signed up to be a Stealth dealer and the rest is history

When did you first ride a motorcycle and what got you hooked on the sport?

I started motorcycle ride at age 4 on a PW50. The freedom had me instantly hooked and I haven’t looked back since, on any kind of two wheels.

How did you start riding bikes professionally?

It was always a dream to pursue racing professionally. I worked super hard up through the ranks over the years to cement my name as a professional rider.

What are the highlights of your riding career?

For me the highlights would be getting to travel and race for teams abroad. Whether that be in California or Indonesia. I’ve always enjoyed the travel/race scene.

Have you ever done anything on a bike which made you think ‘best not try that again’ afterwards?

I think we all have. No matter how good we are, there is always the odd occasion where we run out of talent!

You coach and train MX riders in Canberra, have you ever trained someone who went on to go pro?

I do yes, my passion is anything with two wheels. I’ve learnt so much over the years from being an athlete and love nothing more then passing on that information. Just last month I had an 8 year old who I’ve worked with weekly enter an invitational race in Las Vegas. So you could say the future is looking bright!

The video got a great response from Stealth fans, what was your inspiration?

I guess I felt there was a small void missing. I wanted to showcase the versatility of each model. Whether that’s cruising on into work through the city on the all new P7 or jumping spoon drains at 80km/h on the B52.

Some of the locations you used look amazing, where were they?

Filming started on the P-7 in the Canberra City, I’m sure plenty of locals will recognise a few of the clips. We then ventured to the coast for a few days to a private property to shoot the other models, which is where the pilot lived.

You had a whole bunch of people in the video, who are these guys?

The cast consisted of myself, friends and a happy customer who was eager to help out!

We have seen heaps of photographs from your shoot, they look amazing, who is primarily the photographer?

I have used a few different photographers, however for the most part I’m usually the one behind the lens.

“The pout isn’t here to take part, it’s here to take over”

The Pruttie Pout

The ‘Prutti Pout’ is a trade mark classic of yours and some would argue it surpasses Blue Steel and even Magnum, what can we expect to see from you in the future?

The pout isn’t here to take part, its here to take over. I can assure you, there will be plenty more where it came from!

Who’s helicopter is in the video?

A good friend of mine owns the Enstrom 280FX. His not afraid of showing it off either. Who could blame him!

What was the best part of shooting the video?

Riding the whole stealth range for four days straight!

What was the most frustrating aspect of shooting the video?

I don’t think there are any. It was nothing but good times showcasing an amazing product that I’m passionate about.

Where are you based and are you able to provide test rides?

Tharwa, ACT. Test rides are available, whether that be on a tight MX track with berms or just fire trail like trails. We have the facility to suit all rider abilities.

What is your favourite stealth and why?

I couldn’t say, they all have their own niche. The B-52 is hard to say no to though, the acceleration is addictive.

What makes electric power stand out from petrol powered bikes?

The instantaneous power and the fact it is silent. Customers are always very surprised by both factors. They’re also much easier to work on than an MX bike and when you don’t have to deal with oil and petrol, there’s a lot less mess.

Stealth B-52 Motor Upgrade

By | B-52, H-52, New Products

Stealth Electric Bikes have once again made the best, better.  Not happy with 5200 watts of power we one upped ourselves and engineered our B-52s and H-52 with a whopping 6200 watts.

For a long time we have been working closely with electric motor manufacturer, Crystalite, to develop a motor which is more powerful, lighter and robust than previous models. The 6.2 kW motor is exclusive for Stealth Electric Bikes and works in perfect harmony with our recently updated battery.

The additional 1000 watts of power really stand out when accelerating during take off and when tackling challenging hills. The high capacity battery and bespoke controller combined with the new 6.2 kW motor delivers a smooth ride with so much torque we are sure the earth’s rotation slows with every twist of the throttle.

As an additional bonus the 6.2 kW motors are 25% lighter than previous models, further enhancing manoeuvrability down tight trails and rough tracks.

Think you can handle the power? Want to know what riding a Stealth feels like? Then contact your nearest dealer today for a test ride.

Battery and motor upgrades may be available for some older B-52’s please contact your nearest dealer for information.

Super Fastest Stealth Bomber ‘For Real Man’

By | B-52, E-Bike Technology

When is a Stealth not a Stealth?

Stealth Electric Bikes have been hand building the world’s most powerful electric mountain bikes at it’s HQ in Australia, for over 10 years. During this time second and third party immitators have cropped up and attempted to copy our innovative monocoque designs. Some even use Stealth Electric Bike branding such as ‘Stealth’, ‘Bomber’, ‘B-52’ and ‘Fighter’. A shameful facade which keeps Stealth’s legal team on their toes.

‘stealth bomber for real man’

Buying a fake Stealth is not like buying a fake pair of Verydry jeans. Your mates will still make fun of you, but the consequences of material or component failure could be fatal rather than just embarrassing.

While material and component quality play a major role, so do the thousands of hours of R&D and fine tuning that goes in to the design of every Stealth bike.  Over 10 years our development team have continually designed and refined our products to suit the demands of  customers who enjoy spending their time at warp speed.  Geometrically, ergonomically and electronically Stealth has done the hard yards to bring our customers precise handling, comfort and acceleration on every ride. These are the core design elements which aren’t so easy to imitate.

Stealth Electric Bikes | Proudly Australian Made

As the pioneers of the high powered electric mountain bike category, it is disheartening to have to tell consumers that their recently purchased ‘stealth bomber for real man’ (yes that advert really does exist) is a fake and that we are unable to fix it, or replace their burnt out frame.  We have even spoken to people first hand who have paid as little as half price for what they thought was a genuine Stealth Bomber, only to find that their bike didn’t get delivered and the company they sent their money to has coincidentally vanished.

Below are a some red flags which will help prospective Stealth owners spot a fake before parting with their hard earned dollars.  If you are ever in any doubt then please contact us through our website and we will happily advise you.  Of course if you really want an imitation Stealth then this article may not be for you.

Where is it made?

Stealth Electric Bikes are only made at our manufacturing facility in Melbourne, Australia. If the bike is made anywhere else it is definitely an imitation.

Which website is it being sold from?

Stealth Electric Bikes do not sell through online stores such as eBay, Amazon, Aliexpress, Alibaba, Gumtree etc.  Companies selling new ‘stealth bombers’ etc. on these sites are supplying fakes.   Online shoppers however can purchase a real Stealth via the ‘design studio’ on our website.  To make a purchase, simply design the bike you want and click ‘get price’, then follow the payment instructions.

The Stealth Dealer Network

For those seeking a more hands-on experience, test rides are available at our Melbourne HQ or via our Authorised Dealer Network found on our dealer locator page.   The Stealth Dealer Network is equipped to help you select the right bike for you needs and arrange test rides, service and technical support in your local area. If you are in any doubt about a dealer’s authenticity please contact Stealth HQ directly using our contact page www.stealthelectricbikes.com.

Core to the B-52’s high performance is its sequential gearbox.

Only the Stealth B-52 comes standard with the VBOXX?

A sure fire sign of a knock off is that only the Stealth B-52 comes fitted with the advanced, 9 speed sequential VBOXX. The VBOXX is vital to pedaling the B-52 with it’s wide gear range improving pedal efficiency at all speeds and it’s sealed, low maintenance design.  In fact, the only Stealth that uses a derailleur system is the latest addition to the line-up, the Stealth P-7.

Price too good to be true?

We have all heard the expression ‘you get what you pay for’. With an authentic Stealth you get full factory support from the Stealth factory and our Authorised dealers. Standard on all Stealth models is a fully supported 12 month warranty against defective parts and workmanship, combined with a lifetime warranty on all frames and swing arms (non-transferrable). On a Stealth you can ride safe and happy in the knowledge that your bike has been correctly designed and manufactured using advanced techniques and the best quality components.

How does it communicate with you?

Since 2014, genuine Stealth’s have come standard with the DC-1 user interface embedded in the frame. The DC-1 displays a wide range of real time stats for the rider such as speed, efficiency and system temperatures, while also allowing the rider to limit their speed and power output for extended battery range and longer ride time. There are no Stealth Electric Bikes on this planet that come factory fitted with the display mounted on the handlebars.  Keeping the handlebars free and uncluttered prevents damage and personal injury in the unfortunate event of an accidental tumble.

It’s the little things

Ever bought an immitation product that’s as good as the real thing?  If you think you may have spotted a fake, take out your magnifying glass and study the details and compare them with the real thing or contact our team and they’ll do it for you.

Ask yourself, are you willing to put your fun AND safety on the line just to save a few bucks?

Hopefully the above has given you some clues to help spot a fake Stealth. If you are looking to purchase a Stealth and are not sure of the authenticity then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Recovering from injury can be a strenuous, lengthy process, during which you can’t take on the hard-hitting activities you’re used to. Part of that recovery for many could be assisted through the use of an electric bike, bridging the gap between injury and the need for extreme speed.
